According to latest data, the number of centenarians in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

From 2004 and 2024, the total of male centenarians has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same years, the count of women aged 100 or over increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are excited to listen to those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s major happenings and changes.
