British Armed Forces Bases to Accommodate Refugee Applicants in Bid to Terminate Hotel-Based Accommodation

Military accommodation site

Hundreds refugee applicants might be accommodated in military barracks as the administration aims to terminate the utilization of hotel accommodations.

Negotiations are ongoing regarding the utilization of two sites - one in northern Britain and another in the English south - for housing for 900 male individuals.

The Prime Minister has directed Domestic Affairs and Ministry of Defence officials to accelerate work to find appropriate defense facilities.

The ruling party has committed to end the operation of asylum hotels, which have required substantial taxpayer money and become a focal point for anti-asylum seeker rallies.

Proposed Military Sites

Asylum seekers might be accommodated in the Cameron military facility in the Scottish city and Crowborough army training camp in southeastern England by the final days of the upcoming month.

Commercial facilities, temporary accommodation and vacant properties are also being considered for possible utilization.

Administration Statements

Government sources confirmed that every facility would comply with health and safety standards.

"We are deeply troubled at the scale of unauthorized immigrants and asylum hotels."

"This government will close all refugee hotels. Work are advancing rapidly, with additional appropriate locations being identified to ease pressure on local areas and decrease migrant housing expenditures."

Current Shelter Data

Around 32 thousand asylum seekers are currently being accommodated in temporary lodging, representing a drop from a maximum of over 56 thousand in the previous year.

A current assessment found that multiple billions of government revenue had been "misused" on asylum accommodation.

Earlier Defense Site Utilization

Two ex-armed forces locations - former RAF base in Essex and Napier Barracks in southeastern England - are already being operated to shelter asylum seekers after being commissioned under the former government.

The Prime Minister remarked on the situation, saying: "I am resolved to close every refugee hotel. Words cannot describe how frustrated and angry the administration feels that we inherited a challenge as substantial as the current circumstances by the former leadership."
